Week 2 Activity — Virtual Worlds
The difference between being at Long Beach in person and through online courses was a crazy change. I really enjoyed walking through campus with the squirrels. It also helps with focusing on school work because everyone around me was trying also and I felt somewhat motivated.
Playing video games I think is another way of hanging out with friends. During the pandemic it was tough meeting up with my friends. So playing online in these virtual worlds kept us busy and we have good times playing. There are experiences on there that I would never forget.
Instagram and Facebook are similar to video games in the way they connect to people. But with Instagram and Facebook, it’s through pictures and videos, comments and likes, and mentions along with stories. I can see the similarity between real life and a mmog.
